GREEN EARTH AFFORESTATION INITIATIVE (GEAI)
Green Earth Afforestation Initiative (GEAI) was founded in 2020 by a team of Ugandans from diversity professions and experience, mutually committed to inspire individuals and communities to invest time, energy and resources in reforestation and environmental conservation. We focus on distribution and planting of fruit tree saplings amongst other tree species. Energy cooking systems as our other strategy for a sustainable reforestation, environmental conservation and a contribution towards the fight against global warming.
We advocate for the existence and preservation of natural forests and wetlands through awareness rising, promoting utilization of renewable energy, charcoal briquettes and energy saving stove, we reduce the speed of which trees are cut and forests destroyed. We encourage every family to plant at least 10 fruit trees, institutions like schools and hospitals to plant at least 15 or more fruit trees for environmental purpose, nutrition, and income generation. The organization believes that planting trees around the boundaries of wetlands is one of the best ways of preserving nature.

MISSION
Contributing towards a sustainable environment conservation, afforestation, reforestation and advocating for the use of renewable energy and creating awareness on climate change for the benefit of current and future generations.
MAIN GOALS
To train, Empower, and Engage local communities national wide to advocate for survival of forests and wildlife where both human and wildlife would take pride of its natural environment by 2030.
MAJOR OBJECTIVES
(a) To identify, recruit and train 540 volunteers in all 135 districts in Uganda, (4 volunteers per district) who will be supervised and monitored by GEAI staff. They will work closely with our team to distribute fruit tree saplings, monitor development and creating a good working relationship between GEAI and the benefiting communities.
100 million trees in Uganda will be planted and protected by 2030 as means to mitigate the danger of global warming.
(b) To protect and enhance the health and diversity of forests and wetlands as an essential social, economic and community asset for present and future generations.
(c) Promote sustainable reforestation, agriculture, and environmental conservation through systematic approach in local communities and families in both rural and urban areas in Uganda.
(d) Facilitate activities promoting environmental analysis, pre and post impact assessment of projects and participatory planning for sustainable use and management of natural resources especially forest and wetlands.
(e) To empower, and engage local community leaders, Educators and Students nationwide to advocate for reforestation, survival of natural forests, wildlife and wetland.
(f) Lobby for vacant land offer/donation from local landlords/communities, and acquisition of gazetted lands on sale for reforestation purpose.
(g) Over 100 million trees in Uganda will be planted and protected by 2030 as means to mitigate the danger of global warming.
